President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesdayu evening returned to Abuja after ending his annual working vacation in Paris earlier than scheduled.
The President’s arrival at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 6:50 p.m. was confirmed by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Tinubu was received at the airport by Senate President Godswilly Akpabio, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.
The President had departed Nigeria on September 4 for France, with initial plans to spend his vacation in both France and the United Kingdom. While in Paris, he combined rest with diplomatic engagements, including a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.
During their meeting, Tinubu and Macron reviewed bilateral cooperation in key areas such as security, trade, and global stability, while reaffirming their commitment to deepen strategic partnerships between Nigeria and France.
Despite being away, the President continued to engage with national issues by issuing directives on food security and affordability, and sending messages of condolence and commendation to notable Nigerians.
With his return, Tinubu is expected to resume official duties in Abuja.
