President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on his 58th birthday, marking the occasion on December 13 with glowing tributes to the minister’s leadership and public service.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Wike as a public servant whose life has been defined by purpose, courage and dedication, hailing him as an audacious performer who consistently overcomes challenges to deliver results.

Tinubu commended Wike’s role in driving the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory, particularly through what he described as an aggressive infrastructure renewal programme. He cited the minister’s recent intervention in resolving a 14-year stalemate over the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road as a notable achievement.

The President also praised Wike’s resilience, “can-do attitude” and commitment to excellence, thanking him for his consistency in delivering impactful projects and reforms.

Describing him as one of the standout members of his cabinet, Tinubu said Wike had developed infrastructure in the Federal Capital “like never before,” noting that his reputation as “Mr. Project” extends beyond his home state of Rivers.

Tinubu further applauded the minister for being a strong advocate of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda despite belonging to another political party, and wished him continued strength, good health and greater accomplishments as he continues to serve the nation.
