NNPC Retail Limited has taken decisive disciplinary action following a viral video that allegedly captured a fuel pump attendant attempting to defraud a customer at one of its stations in Ikorodu, Lagos.
In response to the incident, the company announced the immediate dismissal of the pump attendant involved, while the station manager has been suspended pending further investigation. The video, which quickly gained traction on social media, sparked widespread public outcry and renewed calls for greater accountability in the downstream petroleum sector.
In a statement issued on Friday, NNPC Retail emphasized that the actions taken reflect its zero-tolerance policy toward any form of misconduct or unethical behavior.
