The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has officially unveiled Éric Chelle as the new head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Monday, January 13, 2024, at the conference room of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, was attended by prominent figures in Nigerian football, including Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, and Secretary General Mohammed Sanusi.
Chelle, 47, recently stepped down from his managerial role at the Algerian club MC Oran to assume leadership of the Super Eagles.
He brings with him a full complement of backroom staff, featuring First Assistant Hadi Taboubi, Fitness Trainer Thomas Gornourec, and Goalkeeper Trainer Jean Daniel Padovani.
This assignment presents an early opportunity for Chelle to evaluate domestic talent and gain momentum as he prepares the team for the World Cup Qualifiers in March.
