A man simply identifies as Chinedu, a resident of Anozie Street, Mile Two Diobu Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is reportedly on the run to evade arrest over the serial rape of his 14-year-old daughter in the last two years.

Sources revealed that residents became aware of his wicked acts after his 14-year-old daughter confided in a neighbour, that her father had been sexually abusing her since she was 12.

We gathered that the neighbor alerted the Police on the development, and the victim was taken to the Azikiwe Police Division at Illoabuchi, Mile 2 Diobu.

We further learned that the teenage girl, in her statement, alleged that her father had been defiling her for the past two years.

Residents told our reporter that the suspect fled his house before the arrival of Police detectives from the Azikiwe Division.

The estranged wife of the suspect and mother of the teenager had taken the victim away at the time of this report.

However, a Rights Advocate and National Coordinator of the Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign, Mr Prince Wiro has called on residents with useful information on the whereabouts of the suspect to pass such information to the Police to arrest and make the suspect answer for the allegation bordering on incest and defilement.

Wiro noted that the veracity of the allegation cannot be ascertained if the suspect is not available for investigation.

Although the spokesperson for Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, did not take the call from our reporter to inquire about the incident, multiple Police sources confirmed the report.
