A shocking tragedy has rocked Tashar Aibo in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State after a newlywed groom, Dan Gaske Mai Masara, was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife—just days after their weddin
The couple had tied the knot on Thursday, November 18, 2025, but their honeymoon period ended abruptly on Sunday afternoon when the bride reportedly attacked her husband while he was asleep, plunging a knife into his neck and killing him instantly.
Neighbours told reporters the attack was sudden and vicious.
“He was fast asleep… she just stabbed him. Nobody expected this,” a resident said.
The shocking incident has left the community in disbelief, as friends and relatives struggle to understand what could have triggered such a brutal act.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, and the motive behind the killing remains unknown, fueling further speculation and tension in the area.
