Hon Erhiathake Ibori-Suenu, daughter of former Governor James Ibori of Delta State has joined the All Progressives Congress after dumping the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state

Ibori-Suenu, the member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, announced her disassociation from the PDP in a terse letter to the party’s chairman in the Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state.

In the letter, a copy of which was obtained by Naija Daily News, she hinged her decision on her “complete exclusion by the State Chapter of the party and the lingering national leadership crisis which has driven the party into implacable camps”

She further said, “I formally resign as a member of the PDP with immediate effect.

“I surrender my attached PDP Membership card with membership number 0777144 in furtherance of my complete disassociation and disengagement from the PDP,” she added.

The letter was, however, silent on where she was pitching her tent.

Speculations that the former First Daughter of Delta State could be moving to the ruling All Progressive Party, APC, has been confirmed.

NDN recalled that the lawmaker survived various attempts by the PDP in the state last year to deny her the party’s ticket as part of the political wrangling between her father, the former governor, and then Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
