A security guard at a popular eatery in Rumukrushi, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State Ifeanyi Ani, was allegedly beaten to death by a customer on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
According to eyewitnesses, Ani, the security guard and father of three approached the customer’s car to request that he turn off his headlights.
The customer, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly punched the security guard repeatedly, leading to his collapse and eventual death.
The management of the eatery promptly arrested the customer and handed him over to the Mini-Okoro Police Division.
The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are underway.
