Premier League giants Chelsea have announced the appointment of Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior as their new head coach, replacing Enzo Maresca.
The London club confirmed on Tuesday that the Englishman has signed a long-term contract running until 2032. Rosenior, 41, said he was “extremely humbled and honoured” to take charge of the club.
“Chelsea is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies,” Rosenior said in a statement. “My job is to protect that identity and build a team that reflects these values in every game as we continue to win trophies.”
Speaking earlier in Strasbourg, Rosenior described the Chelsea role as “an opportunity I cannot turn down.”
He takes over with Chelsea currently fifth in the Premier League table as the club looks to strengthen its push for domestic and European success.
