Boko Haram terrorists have attacked Bamzir village, Whuntaku District, Chibok Local Government Area of the state, Borno State, killed two persons and burnt down a church.
The media team of the local government chairman of Chibok LGA Mustapha Madu, in a statement, said the terrorists attacked around 2:10 am on Sunday and burnt down houses, resulting in the death of two brothers identified as Josiah Pogu Pudza, an SS 2 student, and Enoch Pogu Pudza, while one Esther Yohanna sustained a bullet injury.
According to the statement, the terrorists carted away food items and livestock and razed down a church auditorium, several houses, and shops.
Mustapha commiserated with the family of the bereaved and inspected all the burnt houses, shops, and the church auditorium.
Efforts to reach the State’s Police spokesperson, ASP Daso Nahum Kenneth at the time of filing this report proved abortive as he could not be reached on his mobile lines.
