The management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, has canceled all final year papers of the Department of Arts written on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, over loud celebrations.

In a statement by the Acting registrar of the institution Ephraim Isiraojie, on Wednesday, the Management frowned at graduating students from the Faculty of Arts (Department of Mass Communication, English, and History and International Studies) who violated the directive of the university management.

The students were reportedly involved in car displays, use of sirens, spraying of money, shouting, hooting, and blocking access roads leading in and out of the university.

The statement read in part: ” The University management in an emergency meeting, held today, Wednesday, 29 January 2025 has decided to invoke extant laws on wild jubilation/celebration, thereby canceling all the final year exams written on Wednesday 29, 2025, including but not limited to the following, ELS 411, MAC 414, and HIS 416

“The university management shall decide in due course when such canceled examinations will be rescheduled”.

According to Isireojie, this will serve as a deterrent to all graduating students who are yet to finish their examinations.
